PicTime Overview

PicTime is an ingenious method of verifying your employees are who they say they are. By using your tablet’s built-in camera, PicTime takes a photograph of your employee as they record their punch. This photograph is then saved and uploaded to your TimeMD account along with your employees time punch.

The photograph allows you the opportunity to verify the punch was made by your employee instead of their “buddy”.

The Buddy Punching Dilemma

The process of “buddy punching” has been a problem for management for years. The basic idea is that employee A receives a phone call from employee B asking if employee A will punch-in for them. Employee B, feeling obligated to their friend, clocks-in employee A.

Usually, management is aware that buddy punching happens but has no idea by whom or how often. As a result, millions of dollars worth of time is “stolen” from businesses all over the country. In order to address this problem, employers have looked towards technology for a solution. So far, expensive biometric devices have been the only choice.
